Homeless Ministry
In Luke 16, there’s a story about a rich man and a beggar he knew named Lazarus. Both of them died -- Lazarus went to heaven and the rich man to hell. The rich man never did anything wrong to Lazarus. He simply ignored someone the Lord had literally laid on his doorstep. So look for ways you can help. Donate goods or food. Go out and meet them. You may be surprised how God will use you.
The Homeless Ministry has been hard at work this year! Clothing and literally thousands of pounds of food were donated to the Impact Family Homeless Shelter in New Port Richey. Clothing and toiletries were boxed up and shipped to the Homeless in Hawaii. Bags for toiletries have been made to be distributed to both of these homeless ministries. Sample sized toiletries and new washcloths are still needed to fill the bags. Please contact the church office at churchlady@hope4tampa.com if you can help make or fill the bags or would like to help to deliver food for the homeless.
We need help to Feed the Homeless in Tampa, Wednesdays at 4:30pm. Donations of protein-rich, non-perishable foods, blankets and warm clothes are welcomed. There is a purple tub by the Church doors for food donations. Please call the Church at 818-1211 if you have clothing you want to donate.
Even though Hope Church has an active presence in the homeless community of Tampa, there are more opportunities than we can presently serve well. If you would like to be a part of the team, please contact Collin Streetman at 382-2722.
